The Contest
On October 09 2010, the Cyprus FreeThinkers, in search for possible t-shirt designs, held a contest where members can submit their designs or vote the submitted designs they liked. The contest took place on the official Cyprus FreeThinkers website and lasted until the 2nd of January 2011. The 26th December 2010 was the deadline for submissions and the 2nd January 2011 was the deadline for votes.
Submissions and Votes
During the t-shirt contest duration, 27 t-shirt designs were submitted and 223 votes were casted for the designs.

Denouncing Religion on the Internet
As someone said in a YouTube video, “the Internet is where religions come to die”. He is not too far from true. Numerous posts everyday in forums, imageboards and videos prove that. Also a number of internet memes has made mocking religion a phenomenon. Here are some examples:
The Flying Spaghetti Monster
The phenomenon of the Flying Spaghetti Monster began when a student, Bobby Henderson, was disappointed that intelligent design was to be used as an alternative to evolution in his university. So he came up with the FSM and from then on, thousands have been touched by his noodly appendage:
Invisible Pink Unicorn
She is both invisible and pink. How can this be? You can’t prove she is not and you also can’t prove she’s a female goddess. That proves that she’s real. The origin of the Invisible Pink Unicorn dates back to 1990, where a Usenet user participated in a channel called alt.atheism. He responded that no-one can’t prove that invisible pink unicorns don’t exist.
The Crocoduck
In March 2007, Kirk Cameron, came up with the idea of showing up in ABC’s Nightline show with Ray Comfort with a photo-shopped image of a crocodile-duck animal and called it crocoduck. The idea was basic:
Crocoduck is fake = evolution is fake
Kirk made a ridicule of himself on live TV and was begging for Internet attention and soon the crocoduck became an Internet Meme:

Illuminati Card Game predicted the Japan Earthquake? Not quite…
A lot of buzz has been created shortly after the destructive earthquake in the Japanese grounds, about a card game called the Illuminati Card Game. The game is believed to have predicted (or even planned) past disastrous events, including the fall of the World Trade Center and the pentagon:
A more recent event to have been supposedly predicted by the game was the Japan earthquake. The “prediction” came from this card:

The tower seen falling at the top right corner of the card is supposedly the Wako Clock Tower, located in Japan, which is this tower:
Now the Wako tower has some striking similarities to the tower in the card right? Well, OK except the fact that the Wako tower is white and the tower in the card is black. AND the fact that the Wako tower is still intact to this day. AND the fact that it’s in Tokyo and not in Fukushima where the earthquake happened. But that’s just details.
Some people say that the tower also shows the exact time of the earthquake, some say the time on the clock resembles the date of the earthquake etc.
The other thing, is the people running like crazy. Except that this shows disaster happening, some people say that these people look Asian, therefore the Japan earthquake was predicted. Now, I don’t know about you, but I can’t tell those people’s ethnicity. How did these people tell that they’re Asian?
This stuff might be stuff of fiction, but I’ll have to give it to these people. They have one hell of an imagination!
